From coastal waterfront settings to historic cobblestone lined cities, Marcene works on site, and from her Windscape Artventure studios.
With dual-residencies in PA and NYC for several years, Marcene set up a large rooftop plein air studio In Manhattan's Upper West Side to build working relationships with curators, artists, and galleries. Exhibiting there, participating in gallery talks, panel discussions, a Dacia Gallery residency, and sharing fellow artists' studio activities help Marcene to constantly challenge and expand her artistic practice and creative vision.

These residencies inspired Marcene to open
